Affiliate Program Management – An Hour A Day

I’ve recently had the great pleasure of reviewing Evgenii “Geno” Prussakiv’s new book: Affiliate Program Management: An Hour a Day which came out as the new “bible” of affiliate program management this year.

In short, this book is a gift to the industry. It is incredibly well written, thought-out and organized. It delves into full detail every element needed to run a highly successful affiliate marketing program from start to finish and leads it’s reader on a journey of both technical and personal discovery as an effective affiliate program manager.

Most importantly, the reader can go through  systematically, following through each chapter to get a full picture of “what to do and how to do it”, or simply jump to chapters that teach the reader the most effective ways of managing particular elements of their program.

The key word to note here is “teach”, as Geno undoubtedly teaches the world how to plan, launch, execute and grow an affiliate marketing program while being ethical and effective in your methods.

In an industry that has so much potential, but so many misgivings and differences of opinion, it’s nice to see one book that covers it all, from how to perform a competitive marketing analysis to how to avoid and deal with deceptive or “parasitic” affiliates. He covers program policy need to knows and very specific recruitment strategies.

Geno leaves no stone unturned in his book, and I can honestly say that this book should be required reading for anyone who calls themselves an affiliate manager. I have ordered more copies for the office so our affiliate managers can have access to them any time they wish.

On a personal note, I have read many books in the industry before this one, including both Shawn Collin’s book “Successful Affiliate Marketing for Merchants” and Geno’s previous book “A Practical Guide to Affiliate Marketing”. Both were very good, but still far from being the gem this one turned out to be.

Our affiliate team agrees, this book deserves a 5 star rating and will be a great internal resource for us, even as experienced affiliate program managers.

Geno, a job very well done!
