Pioneer, friend, legend. James Martell, your legacy lives on

“James Martell is the creator of one of the first 1 million dollar ebooks, host of one of the very first podcasts (since 2003), author of several business and marketing books, creator and instructor behind numerous courses, founder of The School of Internet Marketing, and a speaker and specialist in Internet marketing, SEO, outsourcing and podcasting. A self-taught Internet marketing pioneer, mentor and legend.”

Comment after comment came this week as Affiliate and Internet Marketing legend, James Martell, leaves this earth and many friends, memories, contributions and loving family members behind. As one of our close friends and colleagues, we wanted to pay tribute to James’s greatness, and all that he has accomplished, the lives he’s changed in the most positive ways, and the contributions he’s made to our industry along the way.

“It is with the deepest sadness and condolences to the Martell family, to say goodbye to our dear friend, mentor and personal hero of mine, James Martell ... He will be sorely missed in this community (locally here in White Rock), amongst our family and friends and within the affiliate community. He was one person who consistently helped me get on my feet when I first started in the industry, navigated the waters of affiliate marketing, and supported me to grow into the person I am today. He showed me nothing but kindness and encouragement in all the years I knew him. I can't thank you enough, James, for your love, time, mentorship, and friendship over these past 10 years... Rest in peace my beautiful friend... we love you.” – Sarah Bundy

The hundreds of messages sent to Arlene and the Martell family is a testimony to the incredible person that James was, making an impact and living a life of giving back and uplifting people. In tribute to James and deeply thankful for the privilege to have known him and called him our dear friend, we have collected just some of the messages shared over the past week.

“James Martell you inspired me and have no idea how many lives you touched. You made me feel like I could accomplish anything, and you meant it. You were a great friend, colleague and forever connected me to others in the industry like Kimberly, Sarah and Don. You are the reason I put a course together and much more. With you it was always about helping others grow through your caring spirit. Seeing you and your wife Arlene’s loving relationship was also something to be admired. I am sure you are in a better place now and I will miss your big hugs. Thank you for believing in me.” – Stephanie Lichtenstein Ramos‎
