AIM and Vision7 Acquisition 2020

AIM Interview: Vision7 International

Update 2023: Vision7 is now known as Plus Company. Please refer to the Plus Co website to learn more about our parent company and its amazing list of agencies.

A few weeks ago, we were thrilled to announce that All Inclusive Marketing (AIM) was joining Vision7’s extensive portfolio of media, creative, PR, and marketing abilities.

As we expand our reach via a global network and solidify our place in the performance marketing industry, we look forward to working with Vision7’s clients and offering them a proven and scaled solution in the fast-growing affiliate space.

While we’re excited to join the Vision7 family and believe amazing things will be coming from this new partnership, we wanted to take a minute and talk about this new journey with Vision7’s CEO, Media & Performance, Joseph Leon.

Read on to learn more about this landmark acquisition:

Q: This is some exciting news! How did you come to decide to acquire AIM and why now?

The marketing landscape is evolving towards more accountable, performance-based solutions and we’ve been looking for the right agency to bolster our group strengths in this space. We feel that in AIM, we’ve found the perfect partner at the forefront of this evolution. Furthermore, at Vision7 we place entrepreneurial spirit at the heart of our values, and no one personifies this more than the founders of AIM, Sarah and Iain Bundy. We’re very excited to welcome them and the rest of the AIM team to our family.

Q: What was it about AIM that really stood out to you and the V7 group? What did you see as our key strengths and opportunities?

One of the standout things about AIM is the recognition and respect it has garnered in the industry as an agency that places excellence at the heart of everything it does. AIM has quickly become a world-class leader in global affiliate program management, thanks in large part to that commitment to excellence in service, partnerships, and quality. Furthermore, they have done so while building an incredibly innovative remote working model, which is so relevant in today’s climate.

Q: You have an array of talented marketing companies under Vision7, how does AIM fit into the agency mix?

AIM will sit within our growing Performance Marketing division, which represents a key growth area for our network. That said, Affiliate Marketing is truly an integrated channel, and we anticipate powerful synergies across our entire Vision7 group. Our media agencies will immediately benefit from access to AIM’s leading affiliate solutions, especially at a time when our clients are eager to increase spend in performance channels and look beyond conventional acquisition strategies and platforms.

Q: What is your overall vision now that you have Performance Marketing available to your clients with AIM?

Marketers are consistently searching for solutions that bridge media, creativity, and data – all the while rooted in measurable business outcomes. One of the areas at the intersection of these disciplines is Affiliate Marketing, which is an established and critical component of the Performance Marketing category in the US, yet a significant growth opportunity in Canada. Adding this capability to our extensive portfolio of services provides our clients with the ability to execute remarkable programming and results while maintaining the quality of service and brand safety.

Q: What do you see is the future of Performance Marketing?

As I mentioned, the industry is looking for more accountability, more transparency, more tangible outcomes  – and one of the key areas benefiting from this evolution is the affiliate marketing space. I believe that going forward, Affiliate Marketing and Performance Marketing, as a whole, will play a central role in all marketing. I don’t see a “future of performance” as much as I see performance as the future.

Q: Anything else you would like to share with our readers about this journey or the future you see with AIM?

We are particularly thrilled to partner with AIM because of the values that we share. AIM has a clearly defined vision, mission, and purpose, and employs its DIGG philosophy: Delight, Innovate, Grow, and Giveback. This aligns well with what we aim to achieve at Vision7 through EPIC: Entrepreneurial spirit, Passionate, Integrity, and Collaboration. Furthermore, we are inspired by what Sarah and Iain have built, in only a decade – an internationally-awarded, remote agency with a strong culture. Needless to say, we are thrilled to learn everything we can from the AIM team.

We hope this interview has provided some insights into this amazing new partnership. Also, feel free to talk to an expert at AIM for more insight and affiliate marketing opportunities.
