Q4 Affiliate Partner Promoting Tips

Q4 Promoting Tips for Affiliate Partners

Q4 is upon us with fun fall deals and the fast-paced holiday shopping season. It’s a full quarter that’s filled with a ton to promote and content to create. With all things considered, it’s good to have a plan. Information comes fast during these times and with the holidays, there are specific deadlines you must hit. This can result in missed opportunities and getting overwhelmed.

It’s good to have a strategy in place, but sometimes things are out of your control. Brands may be working behind schedule or keeping their big promotions on lockdown, making it hard for you to prepare. This can really put a damper on your plans. There’s no need to worry though, stay flexible and alert this quarter and things will go well.

Ergo, here are 4 tips to help you get the most out of the Q4 season while you promote online.

1) Know the Brand’s Best Products

Every retail brand and its competitors are competing online during Q4. If you’re not an expert in the products and deals that a specific brand has, now is the time to dig in. Compare what’s trending to the collections the brands have and share throughout the season.

2) Post Regularly, but TEST Release Timings

It’s hard to stand out from the crowd and the crazy amount of content and emails that start flowing around the year’s biggest holiday shopping season. We recommend continuing to post regularly however you share your content, but it might be worth testing your release timings. Monday mornings at 7 a.m. likely won’t be a winning time, but it’s possible neither will Thursday afternoons when you think your audience might be more likely to start scrolling.

Test a few days and times out and you’ll soon find that sweet spot that works best for your audience.

3) Keep an Eye on Your Inbox

Be sure to check your email inbox regularly for deals and offer updates, promoting opportunities, and ready-to-post content to share. A brand’s affiliate team is working hard during this time and will send you all the info you need to promote.

4) Be Creative

With more people than ever doing their shopping online these days, there is a flood of content and information for your audience to sift through. The good old days of a simple blog post generating enough engagement and clicks for you to earn that passive income in a meaningful way just got harder.

Now is the time to be creative. Try a new social channel, start up a newsletter subscription list with your readers, make a video or start that podcast you’ve been thinking about for the past two years. Now is the time to stand out.

Remember, if you need help with your promoting approach, don’t hesitate to reach out to the brand’s affiliate team to ensure you are earning every dollar you can during Q4. And, if you’re looking for even more opportunities this season, check out our current programs to see if something fits well with your audience.

Happy promoting!
